Venue: Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum, Gladstone

Since it’s inauguration in 1976, the Awards have become one of Queensland’s most prestigious regional art events and is eagerly anticipated each year. 2018 attracted 362 entries from established, emerging and amateur artists from across the country and over 4300 visitors attended the exhibition and supporting public programs.

Stanthorpe Art Prize 2018

Finalist in the 2018 Stanthorpe Art Prize at the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery

The Stanthorpe Art Gallery Society has been running the Stanthorpe Art Prize, sometimes called the Art Festival, since 1972.  The Gallery itself is home to a collection of over 900 works and features travelling exhibitions as well as local and national artists.  More details about the Gallery may be found on it’s website: Gallery website

Peebles Print Prize 2017

Dates: 3 August – 10 September 2017. Opening Night: Saturday, 5 August 3pm

Venue: Queenscliff Gallery & Workshop , 81 Hesse Street Queenscliff, Victoria

QG&W exhibiting artist, Graeme Peebles, is Australia’s leading mezzotint printmaker. Graeme studied and lectured at RMIT and is a multi-award-winner in his field with his work collected privately and by institutions around the world. Being a purist, Graeme’s print method is traditional and in keeping with a process taught over past centuries. Graeme has over 40 years of printmaking knowledge and experience and is highly regarded amongst his peers.

Together, we established this significant print prize that is representative of the highest level of printmaking in Australia, solely focused on the intaglio technique.

My etching Orchidaceae – Drip Disa has been selected as a finalist for this prize.

Hadleys Art Prize 2017

Hadley's Art Prize – FINALIST

Dates: 14 July – 25 August. Opening Night: Friday, 14 July

Venue: Hadley Orient Hotel, 34 Murray Street, Hobart Tasmania

Hadley’s Art Prize, Hobart is Australia’s richest landscape art award. To be held annually, it celebrates painting, printmaking and drawing to reconnect with the history of art exhibitions at Hadley’s Orient Hotel and promote the work of contemporary Australian landscape artists. 

My work The Lord of the Sky – Pyxis [Compass] has been selected as a finalist for this award.
